Following on from generous company donations and Christmas gifts, employees at the head office of Wolseley plc in Theale (www.wolseley.com) have raised over £1,500 this year through a wide variety of fundraising activities. As well as holding a Valentine's Day raffle, cake bake and children's colouring competition, funds have been raised through an office-based lending library, an Easter egg hunt, summer ice cream sales, a ghoulish cake bake and tombola for Halloween and mobile phone recycling. One brave staff member, Simon Whatson, also ran the 2006 Flora London Marathon in aid of Helen & Douglas House. Fundraising is still going strong with staff also donating goods for sale in our shops.
We are very grateful for the fantastic level of support from Wolseley plc and its staff and the effort and enthusiasm invested by the team leading the fundraising.
