Charity Partnerships

Charity of the year and longer term partnerships are crucial for Helen & Douglas House. The  consistent and reliable income they provide means that we can plan for the long term and support families for as long as they need us, often over many years.

As well as being invaluable to us, these partnerships deliver a variety of benefits for our partner organisations, including increasing community involvement, boosting staff morale and offering the opportunity to demonstrate being socially responsible organisations.

“Helen & Douglas House was the Charity of the Year for Softcat Ltd in 2007-2008. During this time, money was raised in various different ways. Many members of staff took part in the Santa Fun Run through Oxford in December 2007. One member of staff, also at this time, took part in the Las Vegas Half Marathon. Throughout the rest of the year, money was raised by selling jacket potatoes to the staff from the kitchen at lunchtimes, people sold items they owned and donated the money, we held a quiz night and a very successful Charity May Ball, where we held a raffle and a charity auction. Our experience with Helen & Douglas House was incredibly inspirational and we hope that we were able to give something towards helping this work to continue for some time to come.”

"Helen & Douglas House and the efforts they make with young people resonates with us at Hayden Marsh and we soon realised that they are a special charity whose work we are honoured to support through recruiting and fundraising activities. We hope we are therefore able to support the local community in a way that has a profound effect on us as a team and as individuals. The charity is an inspiring venture that we are proud to support."

If your company is looking to support a charity at a national level, do consider a charity of the year partnership with Children’s Hospices UK or Help the Hospices. With national appeal and local impact, a partnership with either organisation could benefit children and adults with life-shortening conditions across the UK.
