Internships are an excellent way for volunteers to donate a specific block of their time to Helen & Douglas House, to learn new skills or gain insight into the way an organisation works. Internships can last from anything between 3 – 12 months and are usually linked to a specific project or task. Internships are unpaid roles, however Helen & Douglas House will reimburse all expenses incurred, including travel.
Internships offer people the opportunity not only to use their current skills but to further extend them in an environment they may never have considered before such as the charitable sector. They are a fantastic opportunity for personal development resulting in an enhanced and comprehensive CV.
