We're pleased to say that this weekend's Santas On The Run event in Oxford is now full! Thanks to everyone who's signed up, and commiserations to all those who didn't get a place- do join us on the day if you can to cheer the runners along!
Hundreds of Santas will gather in Catte Street, Oxford for the start of the Helen & Douglas House ‘Santas on the Run’ 2 mile fun run, through the streets of the City.
Young and old, local businesses and families & friends will be donning Santa suits, and beards, to raise funds for the local children and young adults’ hospice houses.
Before the race starts there will be a Zumba style Santa warm up near the Bridge of Sighs, with the race kicking off at 9.30. Refreshments will be served near to the Radcliffe camera and every runner will receive a goody bag at the end of the race.
Last year over 1,150 runners took part in the Oxford run raising £40,000 for the charity. All places for this year’s Santa Run have been filled.
Fiona Ashcroft, Activity Events Manager, Helen & Douglas House, said: ‘The atmosphere gets better and better each year. The sight of 100’s of Santas running to help the young people and families we care for is amazing.’
