This is a national campaign organised by Children’s Hospices UK to raise awareness and funds for children’s hospices across the United Kingdom. This year the theme of the week is about celebrating our heroes. There are various events happening nationally and Helen & Douglas House has several campaigns and activities during that week including a schools Heroes campaign and a Daybreak walk in Oxfordshire. We are also hosting the start of the Big Boss Ride - a 90 mile sponsored cycle ride - which starts at Helen House on the 21 May (the world's first children's hospice) and ending at Demelza House in Eltham (the newest children's hospice in the UK) on 22 May.
