All funds raised from this special concert will go to Helen & Douglas House to help provide specialist medical care for young people with life shortening conditions and support for the whole family.
The LCO is the oldest chamber orchestra in the UK and, under its highly respected Musical Director and Principal Conductor Christopher Warren-Green, it will be playing Mozart’s Overture ‘Don Giovanni’, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1 in C and Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 in F. The guest soloist will be the wonderfully engaging pianist, Alexander Romanovsky. Tickets are £60 each and include reserved seating, interval drinks, and a post concert reception with wine and canapés, and a chance to meet the orchestra.
Places are limited so please contact Kim Hall by 3rd September on 01865 799150, khall@helenanddouglas.org.uk .
The concert has been generously sponsored by Countess Yoko Nagae Ceschina, which means 100% of ticket sales and donations on the night will be given directly to Helen & Douglas House. It costs £370,000 each year to fund the specialist doctors’ team, and proceeds from the evening will be put towards the final £100,000 of the target to be able to provide specialist clinical care specific to each and every individual.
This wonderful evening is also being organised in celebration of a unique collaboration between Helen & Douglas House, the Momiji Trust, and Japanese paediatricians who are working together to establish a children’s hospice movement in Japan.
