Have a Heart Appeal 2011

Heart radio’s charity ‘Have a Heart’ is supporting Children’s Hospices UK this year with their biggest fundraising campaign – the ‘Have a Heart’ Appeal.

Heart is aiming to raise funds to help children’s hospices such as Helen & Douglas House, grow the level of support and care that can be delivered to young people with life-shortening conditions and their families.

Helen & Douglas House have a new Nursing Consultant and the money raised through the appeal will help her visit young people in our region in their own home, at school or in hospital, to provide specialist advice and support as their condition and needs change.

What you can do

• During the campaign Heart listeners will be encouraged to ‘do their bit’ by downloading a Fundraising Pack from the station website.  In the pack are loads of ideas of how to get involved at home, at school, at work – wherever!
• During appeal week 28 February to 4 March there will be lots of ways for Heart listeners to get involved; such as bidding in on-air auctions, taking part in special editions of the Time Tunnel, or simply making a one off donation by text, or online.
