We need to raise £55k this Christmas to help families whenever, wherever they need us. Every penny will be spent on outreach support.

Together. Whenever. Wherever.

Helen & Douglas House helps children and young people be themselves and enjoy the time they have left. Just imagine how many more children like Eunice they could support if we raised £55,000 together this Christmas.

Families need your support right now. Please be there for them and don’t miss your chance to make the difference.

Help fund vital hospice care

Meet Eunice. In 2020, she was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour on her spinal cord and has been coming to Helen & Douglas House since then. Eunice was undergoing chemotherapy and came to the hospice for pain management which is the main reason why she is cared for by us now.

When Euince stays at Helen & Douglas House she enjoys arts & crafts and sensory activities. Activities like this are a great way for children we care for to discover new textures and encourage imaginative play.

Eunice loves playing in the garden. She zooms around in cars and on the roundabout. But most of all, she loves playing with dolls. Caring for a child like Eunice can be challenging, but with our care, families like Eunice’s can recharge and find much needed rest, knowing that Eunice’s medical needs are being taken care of.

Helen & Douglas House has been caring for local terminally ill children and their families since 1982.

We help children and their families at our hospice, at home and in hospital with respite stays, pain relief, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
