Our children & their families need your support more than ever

Our children & their families need your support more than ever

These times are difficult for everyone, but especially so for those most vulnerable: the children we care for and their families. Our care team, nurses and doctors are still working hard to support them at this difficult time.

Helen & Douglas House is a local charity which needs to raise £3.4m each year to care for local terminally ill children and 83% of that comes from public support. The income we rely on from the public, our events and our shops are going to be affected. Our hospice relies on donations and we can only continue to help local families with your support.

It is thanks to supporters like you who make such a difference to families like us. As we face our first Christmas without Roman, we are so grateful that Helen & Douglas House are there for families like us. No-one should feel alone when they are faced with losing a child.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, our services have never stopped. But, we have had to adapt, which we have done by offering more support for children and families at home.

At this difficult time, and over Christmas this lifeline of support is needed more than ever before. With so many support services closed, or on restricted hours, it is only through your generosity that we can be there when and where our families need us most.
