What is the Reading Half Marathon?
The Reading Half Marathon started in 1983 and Berkshires largest half marathon. It is a flat course which is ideal for first time half marathon runners or as part of marathon runner’s training. The course starts at Green Park on the outskirts of Reading and finishes at the Majeski Stadium with over 15,000 people cheering you over the finish line. The course passes through the beautiful grounds of the University campus. So whether you run for fun, run to stay fit, run for a club, or run professionally the Reading Half Marathon is a great half marathon to take part in.
Why should you put on your running shoes for Helen & Douglas House?
Your participation in the Reading Half Marathon 2020 is going to make a real difference to local terminally ill children and their families. It costs £3.6 million a year to run our hospice and provide our outreach nursing service to help families at home and we cannot do this without your help.
