Beat lockdown blues and get fit with our exciting new virtual triathlon (with a twist!) to help local terminally ill children and become a Helen & Douglas House Hero.
During April all you need to do is cycle 40km, run 10km and a cold shower challenge as an alternative to a swim. Although swimming pools may open in April, we’re challenging you to a month of cold showers if you would prefer not to do a 1500m swim or worry that you might not complete it in time.
According to the Wim Hof Method, there are thousands of benefits to taking cold showers including: reduced stress levels, higher levels of alertness, a more robust immune system, increased will power and potentially even weight loss. We’ll be here to guide you through the process gradually so there’s no jumping in the deep end.
FREE medal and t-shirt
It is £35 to sign up and is open to everyone over 18.
If you raise £50, you will get your free triathlon t-shirt to wear with pride.
Then when you raise £100 you will also receive your free special edition hero multi-layered medal as well.
The money you raise will help families like Aliza-May’s.
Aliza-May was born in June 2017 with a rare syndrome called Edwards.
Emma-May, Aliza-May’s mum said ‘Families like ours need help from Helen & Douglas House now more than ever to cope with these difficult times. Helen & Douglas House was the last place that my daughter went to for her last healthy week on this earth. Without them we would not have created the memories we carry with us every day since she passed in April 2018 just before her 1st birthday.’
