Step into Santa’s shoes and spread joy by hosting a DIY fun run at your school to raise vital funds for Helen & Douglas House.
Our Santas in a Box fun run is quick and easy to sign up to, you can choose the date of your event to fit with your school’s festive calendar. We simply ask that each child raises £1, £3 or £5 to support the care of local terminally ill children this Christmas.
Taking part in Santas in a Box will:
- Engage your children in a fun, outdoor fitness activity
- Ignite their energy and enthusiasm
- Teach the importance of being well-rounded, charitable, and empathetic
Glory Farm School’s Santas in a Box experience
“Everything gets delivered to here, it’s no extra work for anybody. There was competition, but also it was accessible to all.
[The children] hear about the word “hospice” and it’s getting them to understand that actually they’re supporting families and children for a good length of time, not just for a short amount of time. So the children enjoyed that aspect as they like raising money for other children.”
– The Headteacher of Glory Farm School

The fundraising packages
To make fundraising easier, we have designed three packages to choose from. The packages have a fundraising commitment of £1, £3 or £5 per participant. For all three packages, we ask that each student donates the specified amount through a combined auto-generated fundraising page.
All packages include a comprehensive event guide, balloons, banners and finishing tape.
To ensure you receive your packs in time for your fun run, please fill out the form at least two weeks in advance of your planned event date.

Spread joy this Christmas for local terminally children
Twin Roman was born with a rare genetic heart condition in March 2019. Despite being given only weeks to live, he spent his first and last Christmas at home with his family thanks to our emergency lifeline of care.
‘It felt like a miracle as we got everything we wanted for Christmas. Our twins, Roman and Harley celebrated and opened presents together. Thanks to the lifeline of Helen & Douglas House, we had the perfect day.’
– Ellie, Roman and Harley’s Mummy
