Show your support to Helen & Douglas House this Easter by taking part in our ‘egg’citing themed activities and raise vital funds for the hospice. Thanks to our supporters Helen & Douglas House is able to provide a unique form of care for local children who live with life-shortening and terminal conditions. Easter is just one of the special occasions we celebrate at the hospice and, usually, the children would be enjoying our visiting hatching chicks and easter crafts. This year, due to Covid-19, things will be a bit different for us, and probably for you too.
This why is we are asking you to get your colleagues and even families involved with our Easter activities. We have a Decorate an Easter Egg challenge running from 1-18th April, or you could hold a virtual Easter Bunny sweepstake with colleagues, or simply donate what you would have spent on a chocolate egg. If you are looking for an alternative gift for someone this Easter you could also give the Gift of Smile with our charity gift card.

Supporting Children like Jasper
Your donations this Easter will be helping to support children who come to the hospice like Jasper. Jasper is 15 years old and has a life-shortening condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He has been coming for short respite stays at Helen & Douglas House for four years. Jasper enjoys all the activities of the hospice and his visits him a break from home and his parents some respite from being his carer, whilst also working full time.
‘The staff and care at the hospice are amazing. It’s home from home for Jasper and he has so much fun there and is well cared for.’ Nicola, Jaspers mum
