Festive fundraising: 12 ways to raise funds for your local children’s hospice this Christmas

Festive fundraising: 12 ways to raise funds for your local children’s hospice this Christmas

We have some fantastic ideas to get your creativity flowing and raise money for children living with a terminal illness, so they too can make happy memories, not just this Christmas, but all year around.

Here are our 12 Christmas fundraising ideas

Santa with presents
1. Secret Santa from our charity shops

Rather than buying expensive gifts for them to just be discarded when the excitement wears off, why not pitch in as a group for secret Santa? Set a price limit and ask people to buy a gift from a Helen & Douglas House charity shop. Just pick your lucky recipient, choose the perfect gift and they will get a fab present, whilst also helping us. If you really don’t like the gift you receive, then you can always donate it back to us. Find your nearest shop.

Christmas food

2. Naughty or nice nibbles

Are you organising a glittery get together with friends or a festive feast at work? Get everyone to bring something naughty, a home-baked cake and something nice, like cheese and crackers. Everyone brings some goodies, then for a donation they’ll have a chance to enjoy their favourite nibbles or treats. Everyone will leave with a full belly and feel good inside after helping a worthy cause. Download our poster to help promote the event.
