Festive fundraising: 12 ways to raise funds for your local children’s hospice this Christmas

We have some fantastic ideas to get your creativity flowing and raise money for children living with a terminal illness, so they too can make magical memories, not just this Christmas, but all year round. Every child deserves a magical Christmas.

Here are our 12 favourite Christmas fundraising ideas

Santa with presents
1. Secret Santa from our charity shops

Rather than buying expensive gifts, why not organise a secret Santa with your family, friends or colleagues? Set a price limit and ask people to buy a gift from a Helen & Douglas House charity shop. Plus, if you really don’t like the gift you receive, then you can always donate it back to us in January. Find your nearest shop.

Christmas loyalty card

2. Pick up our Christmas loyalty card

Why not pick up one of our NEW Christmas loyalty cards. Each purchase you make in December, worth £5 or more, will earn you a stamp. 6 stamps (purchases) made in that shop will give you £5 to spend on pre-loved items during December*. Find your nearest shop.

3. Recycle your Christmas tree

Did you have a problem disposing of your real Christmas tree last year? If so, we can help. We have a team of volunteers who can collect and recycle your real Christmas tree in return for a donation.
