Hours: 4 hours per week minimum
Helen & Douglas House reception area is often the first point of contact for families and visitors. We have a current team of committed volunteers who help to man the reception desks in both houses from Monday to Friday.
We are looking for new volunteers to join our friendly team in providing a warm welcome to everyone visiting or calling the hospice.
Duties include directing calls via the switchboard, greeting families and visitors, making tea & coffee and dealing with deliveries.
We are looking for people with a friendly and helpful manner who are punctual and enjoy meeting people.
Ideally you will have previous telephone experience, however full training will be provided.
Volunteers are entitled to claim travel expenses and refreshments are provided during your shift.
