Community, Events & Corporate Research Volunteer

Are you a good researcher looking to gain experience in a rewarding charity role? We’re looking for a volunteer who can support us in our community and events team!

How do I get involved?

The Research Volunteer role offers a great opportunity for the right person who may be looking to gain experience in the charity Sector or simply use their existing skills to ‘do their bit’ for a local charity.

The Community, Events and Corporate team are proactively looking for opportunities to collaborate and partner with groups, schools and companies in the local community. The Research Volunteer will play a vital role in helping to identify those opportunities and help the team to grow their networks to raise even more awareness and money. The role provides you with flexibility and autonomy. Where necessary, specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set.

We’re looking for a commitment of 3 -7 hours per week for a one year minimum but we can be flexible to your lifestyle.  This is a remote role, but you are welcome to volunteer from the office where possible.

Experience and training:

You will ideally have access to a laptop with internet connection and access to Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of using these programmes will be necessary. You’ll be expected to attend the Helen & Douglas House induction (half a day, online) and to complete several online mandatory training modules.
