We are looking for Home Gardening Volunteers to assist the families of the children who come to Helen & Douglas House.
How do I get involved?
Home Gardening Volunteers are matched with Individual Helen House families. The needs of each family will vary, so the gardening tasks required to be completed could be done by one person or multiple people.
We’re looking for a commitment of 3-4 hours per week (including travel) for a one year minimum.
Main responsibilities and duties include:
- Weeding digging, and tidying
- Mowing grass
- Hedge cutting
- Strimming
- Watering etc.
Experience and training:
Some experience of domestic or commercial gardening is very useful, but by no means essential. You’ll be expected to attend the HDH Induction and to complete several online mandatory training modules.
