Ann is a retired paediatrician. She has been a pioneer in palliative care for children and was the first specialist paediatrician in the field. She established the multidisciplinary Symptom Care Team at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1986. She has worked in clinical care, research, teaching and the development of palliative care services for children nationally and internationally. She was awarded the Children’s Hospice International Outstanding Leadership award.
She is an editor of the Oxford Textbook of Palliative Care for Children. Ann became a Trustee in July 2020.
