We want to let you know that our database provider, Beacon, recently experienced a cyber security incident affecting a large number of charities, including Helen & Douglas House. Beacon is investigating the incident with independent cyber security experts and has taken immediate steps to secure its systems.
At this stage, there is no evidence that any Helen & Douglas House data has been misused. We are working closely with Beacon and have informed the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
As a precaution, we are contacting individuals where appropriate and recommend remaining vigilant for unexpected emails, calls or text messages claiming to be from Helen & Douglas House or Beacon.
