Latest update from our CEO David about how we are continuing to deliver in patient care following the small fire
We wanted to give you an update on the provision of service here at Helen & Douglas House since our fire incident earlier this month.
We are pleased to say we are providing a full in-patient service onsite in Douglas House. In-patient care is being offered to families on a case-by case basis, and we are covering all our normal services such as nursing care, end of life care, play and respite care as well as post death care. Care in hospital and at home continues as normal.
Only a small area of Helen House was directly affected, but the incident has disrupted our power supply which is the reason why Helen House is temporarily closed. We have contractors on site this week and we hope their work can be completed within a matter of weeks.
