The Big Hearts Network unites local businesses of all shapes and sizes, who are purpose driven and care about making a local impact.
Last year, Helen & Douglas House supported 535 children, siblings, and families across the Thames Valley. Evidence shows that the number of children with palliative care needs in the UK could increase by up to 30% by 2030.

How much is it to join the Big Hearts Network?
The Big Hearts Network membership is £50+ VAT a month or £600+ VAT a year.
By becoming a member, you will be part of a growing community of local businesses of all shapes and sizes, united in supporting local seriously ill children.
From vital supplies of oxygen to specialist care and support staff costs, your membership fee will be used by Helen & Douglas House wherever the need is greatest across our vital work with terminally ill children.
- £50 (one month’s membership) could fund a two hour play therapy session for a child, helping them to learn and develop whilst having fun in a relaxed atmosphere.
- £300 (six month’s membership) could fund the cost of medical supplies for 3 days.
- £600 (one year’s membership) could fund two residential trips for one sibling to have space and time away as well as connect with other children experiencing similar struggles.
