Step into Santa’s shoes and spread joy by hosting a Santa Fun Run at your school, club or community group to raise vital funds for Helen & Douglas House.
It’s quick and easy to sign up, and you can choose the date of your event to fit with your festive calendar. We simply ask that each child raises at least £3 to support the care of local children with life-shortening conditions this Christmas.
At Helen & Douglas House, we want every child to feel welcome, included and able to participate in the Santa Fun Run. The event is designed to be flexible and accessible, allowing pupils to take part in a way that suits their individual needs.
How it works
1. Pick a Santa Fun Run date that suits you.
2. Register your event with us by filling out the sign-up form. Your team’s fundraising page for your school/club will be automatically created when you register.
3. Your event pack will be posted to you, free of charge!* You will receive:
- A Santa hat for every child taking part
- Festive finish line stickers for every child
- Free downloadable resources (see below), including digital graphics, sponsorship forms and coin collection sheet
4. Let your community know about the event and start fundraising.
5. The day of the event: Get everyone together, put on your Santa hats and off you go!
*To ensure you receive your packs in time for your Santa Fun Run, please sign up at least two weeks in advance of your planned event date.

Support children’s hospice care this Christmas
When a child is seriously unwell, a family needs support built around them. Too many face exhaustion, limited emotional support, and a feeling of isolation at a time when they need connection the most. You can help to change that this Christmas.
When a family enters our hospice, we build a new kind of support, just for them. This is lifelong, all-encompassing care for a child, so that families never have to face this journey alone. We build teams and services that provide a vital extension of their child’s care, expanding their world and sparking moments of joy, laughter, and peace.
Whether a family is experiencing a child’s first Christmas, their last, or every precious one in between, no one should face this alone.
