Christmas Tree of Light
Remember a loved one and help our tree shine bright
At Helen & Douglas House, we know how important it is for people to celebrate and remember their loved ones, especially at Christmas.
The Tree of Light is our way of honouring the life and love of those we hold dear, and letting their light shine on. It is a virtual tree where you can donate to dedicate a light to a loved one, along with a message and photo.
In December, we will light up the Helen & Douglas House hospice garden with a tea light for every light on the tree. We will also send you your own lantern in the post and we ask you to join us in a shared moment of reflection and remembrance by lighting your lantern at home at 8:00pm on Christmas Eve.
Celebrate your loved one this Christmas by lighting up our tree and supporting terminally ill children in their name.
How it works
The tree is covered in lights that glow when dedicated to someone special. Each light has space to add a photo and write a message – to remember and celebrate your loved one’s life. You can share a link to the tree so friends and family can get involved too.
