Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15th October is an opportunity to remember babies we have lost. To honour every little life lost, we will be joining hundreds of thousands of people around the world to light a candle or share an image of a candle on Friday 15th October.

You are invited to Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral has kindly agreed for Helen & Douglas House supporters and families to visit the cathedral for private prayer from 10am to 6pm and to light a candle for their baby during the day on 15th October or attend their Evensong at 6pm that evening. To attend these, please register for your free ticket.

If you are unable to come to Christ Church Cathedral, you can still remember your baby by visiting our dedication page to leave a message of remembrance. We will light a candle in your baby’s name at Christ Church Cathedral to remember them.

Remembering babies like Martha

Ed & Sophie with Martha

Sophie and Ed’s first baby, Martha, was born in a critical condition and she passed away in Sophie’s arms at 5-days-old. They were transferred to Helen & Douglas House that same evening where they were looked after as a family for a few peaceful days with their daughter.

We will forever treasure the extra time we were able to spend with Maratha, thanks to this wonderful place.
Ed, Martha’s Daddy
