Chris Temmink joined Helen & Douglas House as Interim Director of People & Culture in July 2026. He has more than 20 years’ experience in HR and people leadership across charities, arts and heritage organisations, and commercial businesses.
Before joining Helen & Douglas House, Chris was Interim Head of People at English National Opera. He has also served as Director of HR at Central YMCA and Westminster Abbey, and held senior HR roles with Ferrero, Mountain Warehouse and Exterion Media.
Chris began his working life as a clinical psychologist in the NHS, which continues to inform his interest in wellbeing and compassionate leadership. He is also Chair of Governors at a Surrey primary school. He is delighted to be joining Helen & Douglas House and supporting the staff and volunteers whose work makes such a difference to children and families.
