Lorna Bramwells

Lorna trained as children’s nurse in the 1990’s working clinically in Children’s Intensive Care and Neurodisability at The Evelina Children’s Hospital, London.  She had various clinical roles whilst at the Evelina and then focused on clinical nurse education and professional practice and became a qualified teacher in 2007. Working as a Lecturer Practitioner Lorna has taught intensive / acute care skills in Kings, London and Kingston University / St. Georges and was seconded as an Education Fellow in Health Education England, London.

More recently, Lorna held Director of Nursing roles in Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and is currently working at Epsom & St. Helier NHS Trust using her passion for nursing, patient safety, quality & governance, professional practice and clinical education to help shape services and influence quality care. Lorna has been a nursing and quality advisor (interim) to The Children’s Trust in Surrey and also support clinical teaching at Roehampton University.  Lorna says ‘I feel very privileged to join Helen & Douglas House as a Clinical Trustee (Nursing) and am looking forward to supporting and working with the team’.
