Buying our charity Christmas cards help children like Roman and his family

Roman and family at HDH_1300x700

Roman, pictured above, was diagsed with a rare genetic condition and form of heart disease just months after he was born.

His devastated parents were told he had just weeks to live. When the hospital had tried all they could, Roman was referred to Helen & Douglas House for end-of-life care.

We immediately took over his intensive medical care and our family support team scooped up his worried parents and gave them the emotional and practical support they needed, which hadn’t been possible in the hospital.

“After weeks of worry spent at Roman’s hospital bedside, arriving at the hospice meant we could finally get the rest we all needed and spend quality time with Roman. It became our second home and we are forever grateful of their love and support”
