Your gift.
Their magical moment.
Every second counts for terminally ill children and their families.
Some of the families at Helen & Douglas House may only have days or even hours left with their child. It’s vital we can fill their time with as much happiness and joy, laughter and light as possible because it won’t be long before all they have is memories.
Please gift a magical moment this Christmas. Your generosity will be a gift they’ll never forget.

FAQs (tabs)
Note: On mobile, these display as a long list of questions and a lot of up-and-down scrolling is required to find the answers. If there are a lot of tabs, it may be better to display the questions as toggles/use the accordion module.
- Are teams allowed?
- Can I park there?
- What should I wear/bring?
- What is in the foam?
- Is there somewhere to leave my bag?
- Can my child do the course alone?
- Are there toilets?
- How can I pay in sponsorship?
- Can I have a refund?
- Is there somewhere to get changed?
Absolutely! There’s no upper limit, so bring the whole class, group, Brownie/Scout pack or office! We have even had birthday parties come along and take part.
You may also want to wear something that will help protect your eyes while running through the bubble stations. If you’re bringing kids with you, please pack some swimming goggles for them – since the bubbles will probably be deeper than they are tall! Sunglasses are available to buy from the merchandise stall on the day if you forget to bring any.
What else should I bring?
A small back pack to carry goggles, water and some old towels to clean up excess foam. We suggest bringing a change of clothes and shoes, as well as a towel, so you can dry down and get warm after the event. We also recommend you bring your own water bottle for yourself and any children you bring with you.
Slight stinging in your eyes may occur, however the pH balance is very low. Just be careful when wiping your eyes with your hands if they have frothy suds all over them. We suggest you pack an old towel to take around with you to remove excess foam after you’ve finished in the bubbles, and have some extra towels in the car for the journey home – or better still a change of clothes!
We have tested the foam mixture on all manner of humans without issue. The mixture that we use is drier than most foam; therefore you won’t be soaked and won’t be slipping around in the foam.
For their safety you should hold the hand of any child under 5 when walking through the foam. Younger children can be carried. You will received wristbands in your packs – please add your phone number to these and ensure children are wearing them so we can phone you if they wander away from you in the bubbles!
If 5km is too much for little legs, they can just do one or two 1.7km loops instead of the full three.

“An online Memory Box is a great way to keep your child’s memory alive and in doing so raise money for this little piece of heaven on earth.
Everyone can read about Molly and the wonderful things the charity does to help everyone who steps through their red door at the hospice.”
