Help us make every moment count

Corporate support like yours is vital in helping Helen & Douglas House children and their families live every moment to the full.

Our children’s hospice is a special place where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories during their children’s short lives. The care we offer is provided free of charge to the families who need it and are eligible.

We rely on the generosity of the public to keep our doors open, with voluntary donations making up the majority of the £3m we need to find this year to run the hospice service.

How we can work together

There are many ways you and your staff can make a huge difference to the children and families who we care for at Helen & Douglas House. At the same time, fundraising, including volunteering, is a great team-building exercise that will bring your staff closer together.

Increase employee and customer engagement through fundraising by choosing Helen & Douglas House as your Charity of the Year or chosen charity partner. Invite us to meet your staff and inspire them to have fun whilst helping families make the most of every moment.

Help us drive your brand awareness, increase sales and improve customer loyalty by developing a commercial relationship with a much-loved local charity.

Volunteer to work in one of our 28 charity shops for a team-building day.

Help at one of our events – we have a brilliant calendar of events, and hugely appreciate extra pairs of hands to give our supporters the best experience possible.

Align your brand with that of Helen & Douglas House by sponsoring one of our innovative appeal campaigns or hugely popular mass participation events.

Fund a critical role at Helen & Douglas House, such as a doctor or nurse position

Help care for local children, like Lily-Mae

Lily-Mae, from Witney, was born in 2013. At two years old she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, which caused regular seizures and other complications.

Although it took some time for her mum, Leanne, to come around to the idea of going to a hospice, she eventually visited for a look round. Today, she is now so glad she did come for that visit as we helped them both make precious memories together and Leanne got some respite from being a carer.

Also, in Lily-Mae’s final hours in September 2021, we cared for and supported her whole family in a place they felt at home.

“Helen & Douglas House was my daughter’s special place, to be safe, smile & be happy. A place for me to be mummy and to take ‘the carer’ role away. Life is precious and here we were able to make memories that we could treasure forever.”
