Corporate support is vital in helping our patients and their families to live every moment. Our children’s hospice is a special place that feels like home from home, where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories during their children’s short lives. The care we offer is free of charge to the families who need it and are eligible.
We rely on the generosity of the public to keep our doors open, with voluntary donations making up the majority of the over £3.6 million every year we need to find to run the hospice service. Find out more about what we do and who we help at Helen & Douglas House.

Local children like Lily-Mae need your help today
Lily-Mae has been coming to Helen & Douglas House since 2017. Born in 2013, Lily-Mae was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in 2015, which causes regular seizures. It took some time for Mum Leanne to come to Helen & Douglas House, but now she is glad she did as it gives her the chance to be Mum, rather than carer and to get the support she needs.
‘Helen house is my daughter’s special place, to be safe, smile & be happy. A place for me to be mummy & to take ‘the carer’ role away. Life is precious and here we can make memories to treasure forever.’ Leanne, Lily-Mae’s mummy
