To select the information you want to be shown, go to the module settings > Content > Query Arguments and untick 'Custom Query'. Then select Custom Post Type Name and choose from the list (posts, people, products, events etc). Select Categories to choose a category within the post type (eg, the type of event - adrenaline, running, ticketed events)
